NYC: Evil Dead Rises Again

New YorkNew York Thrill

evildead.jpgJust when you thought Broadway couldn't get any stranger (they made The Wedding Singer into a musical, and it's good!?), Evil Dead: The Musical comes along.

Yes, folks, you read that right — Evil Dead, the classic cult horror film of the '80s, has hit the big time with an off-Broadway musical co-directed by three-time Tony winner Hinton Battle. The show is replete with guts and gore, like you'd hope it would be, and even goes so far as to have a designated "splatter zone" in the first few rows. But it's not only a hackfest — it's hilariously written and brilliantly performed. Check out the special 11pm show time on Halloween.
