CHI: Get Your Skates On

ChicagoChicago Exploration

skaterink.jpgThe Bean may be the big draw at Millennium Park, but there's something much more fun and engaging that's only available in the winter: the McCormick-Tribune Ice Rink, which opens this Wednesday, Nov. 15, weather permitting.

The rink offers beautiful views of the Michigan Avenue skyline — especially at night — and is completely free (assuming you have your own skates; it's only $7 to rent them) from 10am to 10pm every day. And if you get too cold, you can run into the Park Grill right next door for some hot chocolate or something more substantial.
