Parking is miserable around Nob Hill Café. If you're walking there, wear comfortable shoes, but oh — the gnocchi, so worth it. Tucked in Nob Hill, this quaint Italian restaurant is part café, part restaurant, part wine bar, part community conversation porch, and is a favorite for locals and those lucky enough to trip across its path. The open kitchen is a delight for the eyes and nose as dishes fly through the air and into the hands of the friendly waitstaff. One can't help but eavesdrop or join into any number of fascinating conversations one can absorb while enjoying one's meal. Be sure to have a glass of wine and a bon mot with your best friend while waiting to be seated during the busy weekend brunch hours.
