I first happened upon the Union Square locale Tarallucci e Vino on my way to work. Dragging my feet, I ordered a coffee, not really expecting anything more than a warm kick-start to my day. But from the moment it touched my lips, I was hooked on this place — the temperature, the milky foam, the care in the preparation — the best this side of Rome. And their expertise doesn't stop there. This warm, rustic café features over 30 wines from Italy and Spain, along with pastries, gelato, and full lunch and dinner menus that are as fresh as they are sumptuous. Mmmmm.
