But it's OK! Since it started in 2003, Hip Hop Karaoke has welcomed thousands of novices and pros alike (Big Daddy Kane has been known to drop in!) to grace its stage and celebrate hip hop. They provide the beats, the lyrics — even a hypeman — to help you make it though songs selections that range from the Old School to the New, East Coast, West Coast and more. They've moved around a bit, but have set up shop at the Knitting Factory for the time being. And best of all... admission is free! The only things that will cost you are drinks, but luckily, the bar at Knitting Factory doesn't break the bank. Signup begins at 10pm, with the show starting at 11pm.
