Thursdays have long been the new Friday when it comes to kicking off the weekend, and no-place is that more apparent than Basement Bhangra at S.O.B.'s. For 10 years, this thriving monthly club night has been one of the hottest tickets in town, with lines wrapping around the block, due to DJ Rekha's trance-inducing beats plus the club's welcoming vibe — and lack of velvet rope or strung-out "It" girls. Free dance lessons start at 9pm to help you get your groove on, but you might want to get there at 7pm, when doors open, for an hour of free mojitos. Entry is $5 before 8pm; after that it's $13 with the flyer from their website or $16 without. The next Basement Bhangra is Thursday, April 5th.
