When this shop opened close to a decade ago in SoHo, there were more than a few passers-by that scoffed at the prospect of Rice to Riches, a shop solely specializing in rice pudding, sticking around for more than a month or two. But, lo and behold, once New Yorkers sampled their sweet, freshly made confections, they ate it up with a spoon. Their 20+ flavors — all with cheeky names like The Corner of Cookies & Cream, Perfectly Legal Pecan Pie, and Sex Drugs and Rocky Road — are creamy and delicious on their own or sprinkled with toppings like pound cake or vanilla sauce. Order the Solo for a boutique-hopping energy boost, or go for the Sumo, which feeds 10, and have a little puddin' party. Delivery available.
