There's something about going to an Italian restaurant and being greeted at the door in Italian that sets up a night. You have expectations that the food will be deliciously authentic, the wine succulent, and the desserts with that touch of homemade goodness. The folks over at Baci & Abbracci in Williamsburg have perfected this formula to a T, and with a name translating to "kisses and hugs," you can taste the love in everything they prepare — crispy coal oven pizzas made to order, poultry, meat and fish dishes with authentic sauces, and pastas — oh, the pastas — that are so good, you won't be able to choose. Recommended: Orecchiette with creamy fennel sauce and the oven-roasted pork loin with polenta. Reservations not required, but it's in Williamsburg, so be safe and plan in advance.
