For all you indie kids out there who unfortunately missed Superchunk's awesome show this past weekend, don't go crying into your pile of vintage t-shirts just yet — there's another giant from your past coming into town. Built to Spill rolls into the 'Burg on Saturday, July 7th at Brooklyn's latest, greatest outdoor venue, McCarren Park Pool — a once very grand (and until recently, abandoned) public sprinkling hole-turned-venue with killer acoustics. Joining Boise, Idaho's finest will be Cat Power, aka, Chan Marshall, who writes soulful, heart-wrenching melodies like no other. Tickets are $32; get them now before they sell out — the tickets, that is, not the artists.
