What is Entertainment Access Spotlight SM and how does it differ from the American Express Entertainment Access website?
Entertainment Access Spotlight SM enhances the information found on the American Express Entertainment Access website to provide tips and recommendations on entertainment events in three cities: New York, Chicago, and San Francisco. Each week, the website provides recommendations on cultural and entertainment events in six categories: arts & theatre, dining & culinary, music, sports, film, and family fun. American Express Entertainment Access Spotlight SM invites Cardmembers to share insider tips and recommendations with others.
The website is labeled "beta.” What does that mean?
"Beta" is a term that describes a software application just before the official release to the general public. Entertainment Access Spotlight SM is currently in a three month “beta” phase in which we are testing an initial set of site features and functionality. While participating on the site during our beta period, we invite you help our process of improving the website by letting us know what works and what doesn't. Let us know what features and content you like, and what you would like us to improve. Please take a minute to provide us feedback.
Why does the website feature events only in San Francisco, New York and Chicago?
When it comes to best in class entertainment in the US, these cities top the list. Our plan is to showcase additional cities when / if the site moves from beta testing to a general public launch. We invite you to let us know what cities you would like us to feature in the future.
Who are the "local culture experts"?
Our local culture experts consist of a group of independent writers living, laughing, socializing, and experiencing an active cultural life in New York, San Francisco and Chicago. They do all the legwork to assist you in making your entertainment picks for the week. Their job is to scope out and wade through the vast array of entertainment choices, and present you with a curated list of the must-see events.
I saw an interesting article featured last week – how can I find it again?
To keep the content fresh, Entertainment Access Spotlight SM features articles describing the best entertainment for the current week. Any article featured in past weeks is available and accessible in our Archive section. Simply click the link to the Archives and search from a list of past articles. All features such as Forward to a Friend and Post Comments are still enabled on past articles.
I posted my question or comment but it hasn’t been posted on the site. Why not?
Our local culture experts try to respond to your questions or publish your comments within a 24-48 hour time period, Monday - Friday. If it has been more than 2-3 days since you posted your question or comment and it is not yet published on the website, the reason for this could be one of the following:
1. Our local experts are still researching your question to provide you with the best advice and recommendation.
2. Your question or comment is similar to one submitted by another American Express ® Cardmember.
Additionally, please know that while we greatly appreciate your submission, it is within our editor’s discretion whether or not to feature your question or comment.
I am not an American Express ® Cardmember. Can I still ask a question or comment on a feature?
All visitors can view the content on the website and recommend their favorite features by clicking on the recommend buttons. However, to ask our culture team a specific question, or to openly participate in the community dialogue, you must be an American Express ® Cardmember.
If I have a general question about my American Express ® Card can I submit my question through this site?
